How do I make a reservation?
Please contact the Adirondack rental specialist at Old Forge Property Rentals by phone or email. You will be sent a reservation agreement to sign and return along with your reservation deposit. The balance of your rental fee along with a security deposit is due 30 days prior to check in.
When is Check In?
Check in is between 3pm and 5pm on the scheduled check in date. If you are going to be late please contact the office in advance to make arrangements for key pick up.
When is Check-Out?
Check out is promptly at 10 am on the scheduled check out date. Keys must be returned to the office on 166 Riverside Drive by 10:30. Late departures and key returns will be charged according to the rental agreement.
Where is the office?
Old Forge Rental properties is located in the village. Key pick up is at 166 Riverside Drive in Old Forge/ Some properties are equipped with lock boxes. The codes will be emailed to you (1) week prior to arrival.
What should we bring?
All properties are equipped with everything you will need for your stay. You must however provide, sheets, towels and pillows cases. It is also necessary to bring your own paper products, soap, dishwashing liquid and clear garbage bags
What if I have to cancel?
Reservation deposits are refunded only in the case of an emergency and only if the property can be rented to another party for the week you have reserved.
What is the policy regarding pets?
Pets are allowed at some properties. There is a non-refundable pet deposit of $50. Please clean up after your pet. For those properties which do not allow pets please visit www.kliffsidekennel.com for local kennel information.
Security deposits
Security deposits are returned after an inspection of the property. The property should be left as you found it. Dishes must be washed. Please put any furniture you have moved around back in its original position. Your security deposit will be returned within 14 days of your successful departure.
Telephone use
Most properties are equipped with telephones. Many properties have blocks which do not allow you to call out of the immediate area. If your property does not have a block on the phone, please use a credit card to call out. Cell phones have limited use in this area.
How do I dispose of my garbage and recyclables?
All garbage must be separated from recyclables. Everything must be placed in clear garbage bags. The dates off garbage pick are posted at each property. Because of bears and raccoons; Do not leave garbage outside in an unsecured area. There is a transfer station on the road to McCauley Mt. Directions to the station and hours of operation are posted at all properties and in the document section of this web site.
Firewood
There are many places to purchase local firewood.
Articles left behind
There is a $20 fee to return articles left behind along with COD charges for postage. Please check the camp carefully upon your departure
How do I reserve my time for next year?
Please inform our Adirondack rental specialist upon your departure if you would like to reserve the property for the following year. There is no need to make a deposit at that time.
